Welcome to IEEE-ITW’25. The 2025 IEEE Information Theory Workshop will be held on September 29 – October 3, 2025 in Sydney, Australia’s iconic harbour city. Sydney is known for its stunning beaches, vibrant arts scenes, and world-famous landmarks like the Sydney Opera House.

Conference Theme

IEEE-ITW’25 solicits and welcomes original contributions on the frontiers of information theory, statistics, coding theory, and their applications, as well as interactions between information theory and other fields such as data science, biology, and signal processing. IEEE-ITW’25 will be putting a specific focus on the areas of Information theory in Machine Learning, Quantum information and coding, and Coding for 6G.
